Hardy Roberts Memorial Wave Pool

Mammoth Waves

Nicknamed “Mammoth Waves”, Saltville’s wave pool, has the ability to generate ocean-like waves. The wave pool replaced a municipal swimming pool whose predecessor, a saltwater pool built in the mid-1940s was the first to be named for Hardy Roberts, the first man from Smyth County to die in World War II. The pool is 150 feet long by 60 feet wide and includes a children’s area with a fountain.

Know Before You Go:

No Concession stand available – you can bring in your own food and drinks, but glass products are not allowed, and, of course, there is no alcohol allowed.  Areas are police patrolled.
